Transportation rarely gets much attention in wedding planning, until the day itself. Then it matters a lot. If the bridal party is waiting on a curb or a driver has the wrong address, the whole schedule slips.
This checklist walks through what to decide, what to confirm, and what to ask before you book a limousine for your wedding in Ontario. It’s based on the questions couples ask us most often at Reliable Limousine.
1. Choose the Right Vehicle for Your Wedding
Start with headcount and luggage, not looks. Count everyone who needs a seat in each vehicle, including the couple, and think about dresses, bouquets, and garment bags. They take more room than you’d expect.
Here is how our fleet generally fits wedding needs:
- Lexus 300h or Cadillac XTS (up to 3 passengers): A good fit for the couple, or the couple plus one. Quiet and private for the ride between ceremony and reception.
- Cadillac Escalade (up to 6 passengers): Room for the couple and a few members of the wedding party, with space for larger dresses.
- Chevrolet Suburban (6–7 passengers): A practical choice for family members or a small bridal party.
- Mercedes Sprinter (up to 11 passengers): Useful for moving a larger group together, such as the wedding party or out-of-town guests.
Many couples use two vehicles: a smaller one for themselves and a larger one for the wedding party. If you aren’t sure, tell us your headcount and we’ll suggest a setup.
2. Build a Wedding Transportation Timeline
Write out every trip before you contact anyone. A simple timeline usually includes:
- Pickup for the bride and her party (home, hotel, or getting-ready venue)
- Pickup for the groom and groomsmen, if separate
- Travel to the ceremony venue
- Stops for photos, if planned
- Travel from the ceremony to the reception
- The couple’s departure at the end of the night
- Any guest or family trips
For each leg, note the pickup address, drop-off address, the time you need to arrive, and who is riding. Add a buffer of at least 15 to 20 minutes to each leg. Traffic, parking, and last-minute dress adjustments all eat time.
If you want photos along the way, say so when you book so the driver can allow for it.
